11:40am: Hrmph.
LJ's not loading. Shall post a music post here, and post it there later. And since more than half of this is for my character journals here, 's not a big deal.

Just... don't ask why I decided I needed to do a fanmix of theme songs for the various versions of the Master and the Doctor I've written/am writing. No artwork, just music and lyrics and links to character journals and stories. Maybe artwork later, but not until after I finish my TARDIS Big Bang story.

1:54pm: John Barrowman has a lovely face.

That is giving me the most difficult time drawing. And really, I don't need Captain Innuendo making lewd remarks in the back of my head while I'm trying to draw (erase and redraw... lather, rinse, repeat) his chin. Really.

Which means that sketch is on hold until I retrieve my brain from where it's wandered off to under the influence of alien donuts (or whatever). Maybe I'll write another piece of alien donut meta-fic cracky goodness. Or something.

Anyway.

12:10am: An observation
Creating characters for Whoville, even if I don't use them, makes me think about how history unfolds in various AUs, and I refine it with each new character from the AU. I certainly have a better idea what's going on in the Lieutenant to Chaos AU, and in particular, the dynamic between Jack and the Master.

And the Master, just as himself. How his history unfolds - he doesn't regenerate from Jacobi!Master to Simm!Master for fifty-two years after he opens the watch. And that happened because of a bomb, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Jack was there. Held onto him as he regenerated.

I'm not sure about more than that at the moment, because my brain is foggy, but I'll poke at it more when I wake up.

5:19pm: Random rambling
First - there are no spoilers in the post.
Second - not a reaction post, and I don't want to talk about the episode, good or bad. Just. Don't.

I am not squeeful, as I usually am, over new canon. Not because the episode wasn't good - I think it was good - but just... am not in the usual squeeful place I would be over new canon. Maybe because of stuff in real life, maybe because I'm having difficulty with writing story stuff. Maybe just because I'm not anticipating the episode as much.

Maybe all of that, maybe none of that. Just.. it's odd, and I'm not sure about it. So I'm poking at it. Hell, maybe it's one of my recurrent issues with anything - I get bored, I get apathic, I get irritated, I go looking for something new or go poke at an old fandom I haven't played in for a while.

Hmm. Maybe I'll do that. Go back at a couple of old stories from other fandoms with a chainsaw and prybar and see if I can't lever out some characters worth salvaging. Something.

Or I go back to cleaning my room, and possibly rearranging some furniture again. *eyes her room* Yeah. Maybe that.

Oh, and for anyone I owe tags in Whoville... I'll be on all day tomorrow, and might be better for a night's rest and some room cleaning. I'll get to them then. Or I'll contact people with whom I have threads, and close some of them out. Eh. I'll figure that out in the morning.

12:45pm: Possible Characters to Play
A list of characters that are rattling around in my head for possible play later. To be updated when I have others that want to be added, or as I decide to actually play a character. No garuntees any of them will be played, and not end up written into a story, or vice-versa.

Jack Harkness: yes, I know, we have a lot of them, and I have several to choose from. If I acquire more, I'm going to further question the sanity of my muses and myself.
1. Daegon Rings (either detatched!Jack from the Broken timeline, or Ianto's!Jack from the Damage Control timeline... or even Jack from "On His Knees", the year of hell Jack for Daegon Rings...)
2. Lieutenant to Chaos (NOT any time soon. Really. *shifty eyes*)
3. two seperate crossover 'verses with Max & Vain
- AU where he's met the Doctor before the whole 1941 fiasco, and I don't think he even got his memories erased, and I suspect the Time Agency is actually doing the job it's supposed to be doing
- the one I'm working on for my Mission Insane prompts, in which his introduction to Vain is getting shot in the head when he makes the mistake of referring to the fey as fairies, when they're quite different in the crossover 'verse
4. Jack/Dirk from Anne Mile's world (possibly as a kid - though if anyone else wants to pick up this Jack, I'll not object)

I think all of them eventually, but right now, I have this image of Owen coming out of the bar on the planet with the beaches, drinks in hand for him and Tosh, and staring at the streets of Whoville going "This isn't the beach I was looking for." And I think Gwen or Ianto or Jack from where they're headed out to the dance club, or maybe... *trails off, thinking maybe she hasn't made up her mind yet, and more crack!fic might be good*

And my Ianto is going to beat me over the head with his obsession for a while, I think. *is watching her Ianto-muse warily* I think he needs his head checked... scratch that, I know he needs his head checked, but with the Master running Torchwood in that universe, I think he slips by the psych department by dint of having his evaluations shortly after they've had to deal with the Master. He looks positively sane by comparison.

Anyway, am off to bed now, will post more in the morning. After I've had a talk with my Ianto-muse, and made sure he isn't deciding he wants to play in one of the AUs while he's at it. Am having fun with it in the game, though.
